PinoySG Badminton Club rackets up for InterColor Badminton Tournament

{mosgoogle left}For the purpose of promoting badminton sport among all the members of PinoySG and all Pinoy as well here in Singapore, the badminton heads of the club will host the first PSG Badminton InterColor tourney on July 19, 2008. This tournament is exclusive to all registered members only of the club.

There will be 4 teams who will compete in this competition on different levels of skills. Teams will be grouped according to colors RED, BLUE, YELLOW and GREEN. There will be 5 levels of skills in which each individual player will be categorized Level A, Level B-, Level B+, Level C+, and Level C-.

The idea of organizing an exclusive tournament for registered members comes up after the membership of the club has recently increases by almost 50 percent. The average attendance of the club schedules has gone up from 60 players to 80 players recently.

The badminton headz also noticed that almost majority of the players were beginners and newbies which proves that the sport has sparked interest among Filipinos who are working here in Singapore. The open policy of the PinoySG Badminton club which allows everyone to play and join in the weekly schedules has encourages everyone to try the sport.

This tournament will allow everyone to improve their skills by playing with other members of the club. Since most of the tournaments organized by other groups concentrated mostly on advance players, the club aims to develop the beginners who just started playing.

PinoySG Badminton Club as represented by its logo which symbolizes a badminton player in a flame form will continually blaze and fire up the passion in badminton sport among our kababayans here in Singapore.
